Paul has kindly accepted to be our guest on Travelers Nation, here’s what we got from him.
What is your favorite travel quote?
There are so many that I feel hit the spot. I love to just get away, be outside and head to places I have never been before. Be it alone or with friends so one in particular I like is “Half the fun of the travel is the aesthetic of lostness” ~Ray Bradbury
Let’s talk experiences – what has been the most awesome travel experience you’ve had on the road? The worst?
There is never a ‘most awesome’ I am lucky to have experienced and seen some amazing things. Northern lights in the arctic circle, Uluru at sunset from a helicopter above, horse-riding ober the Saskatchewan Prairie in Canada.. I could go on and on ….
Who would be your ideal travelling companion?
haha there are no ideals. Everyone is different and makes each companion rich to have along in different ways. Someone thats not fussy or after just luxury would be a key. never narrow choices, you will never know what you are missing.
What would be your Dream trip?
I plan to walk to the South Pole in the next few years. Always been a dream.
What do you never travel without?
My smartphone
What would you do if you loose your passport, money and phone in a foreign country?
Crikey! Well never need to panic especially if a country with a British Consulate.
Where are you going next?
I am packing right now to go trekking in New Zealand. Can’t wait. Plus getting ready to film some more videos with BaldHikerTV. Making high production travel videos for clients be it in Britain or locations abroad.
What have you learnt from your travels?
Pack light, get to know the real country you are visiting not just the tourist traps and enjoy the time you are given there.
What advice or counsel would you give first-time wanderers hitting the road?
A main key for me is to enjoy. If you are not enjoying a particular type of travel then change. Nothing wrong with changing track. Head where your heart wants not what others want.
